Every foot is individual and needs a shoe that fits. Once you have ordered a new pair of shoes, it is often difficult to objectively assess whether the shoe fits as it should. The size and fit determine how happy you will be with your new shoes. To ensure that you can enjoy them for a long time after your purchase, we would like to help you try them on with the following tips.
-
Love at first step
The shoe in which you feel comfortable straight away has the potential to become your new favourite (shoe).
-
Trying on at home
Please only try the shoes indoors and on carpeted floors and preferably use a shoehorn to avoid damaging them. If you do not like the shoes or they do not fit and you wish to return them, they must be in perfect condition.
-
The right timing
The timing of the fitting is also important, as the size of the foot varies depending on the time of day and the amount of wear. Choose a day on which your feet have not yet been subjected to excessive strain. Our feet always swell a little during the course of the day. It therefore makes sense to have the fitting in the afternoon or evening.
-
The right sock
Wear the type of sock you would like to wear with this shoe in everyday life.
-
Take your time
The shoe should be tried on both standing upright and walking so that you can be sure that it fits. Some of our shoes have special insole technologies that influence the fit. Please read the information on this under Technologies.
-
Try on both shoes
Feet vary in shape and size. We therefore recommend that you always wear the pair and not just a single shoe.
-
The right fit
Your feet should have enough space for optimum comfort. This is the case if there is 1-2cm between your longest toe and the tip of the shoe. The heel should not be able to slip out of the back of the shoe and still have a firm hold.
If you have the feeling that the shoe is just a little too wide or too big, try our insoles or half-soles to optimise the fit of your favourite shoes. -
Special features of the material
If you have decided in favour of a leather item, you should bear in mind that leather is a natural product and is generally elastic due to its nature. It is therefore possible that the upper material will stretch over time. Minor differences in colour are also possible with leather products.
