For us, thinking sustainably therefore means considering what impact the things we do will have in the long term.

#1 LATHER

As a company of the Wortmann Group, CAPRICE is committed to responsible leather production worldwide. For this reason, we are a member of the Leather Working Group/LWG.

We source 100% of our leather from the spring/summer 2024 collection from LWG-certified leather manufacturers, 75% of which are gold-rated.

#2 CONSERVING RESOURCES

of the shoes we produce each year are already made using green, renewable solar energy.

of the tanneries cooperating with us are connected to a sewage treatment plant to ensure better and more efficient water utilisation.

Sea freight

In order to keep our CO2 consumption as low as possible, we prefer to transport our shoes and materials by sea freight with optimum container utilisation.

#3 VEGAN

Since autumn/winter 2022, a significant part of the collection has been made without animal ingredients. These shoes have been certified by the Prüf- und Forschungsinstitut Pirmasens e.V. and bear the PFI ‘100% Vegan’ test mark.

#4 PACKAGING

Plastic-free packaging

Plastic sticks were replaced by cardboard sticks in all pair boxes.

Optimised packaging

All pair boxes have a special plug-in system, which allows us to significantly reduce the use of chemical adhesives.

Certified packaging

All our pair boxes are FSC (Forest Stewardship Council) certified.
